Albion Amateur Athletic Club

In 1965, the Albion Football Club formed the Albion Amateur Athletics Club. Key people in the formation of the club included Doug Mills, Ernest "Ern" Davis and Stanley "Stan" Coxhill.

The club's first coach was William "Bill" Earle, an Olympian from the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games.

At the 1974 Annual General Meeting of the Albion Amateur Athletic Club, it was voted that the club change it's name to the Sunshine Amateur Athletic Club to associate with the City of Sunshine rather than a suburb of that City. The club was still affiliated with the Albion Football Sports Club.

In 1983, the club merged with the Albion Women's Amateur Club to form the Sunshine Athletic Club.
