The new Salvation Army Hall in Devonshire Road opened on the 6th September 1975.

 

The new hall consists of a worship centre, youth & children's recreation hall, social welfare counselling centre, music room, workshop & handicraft areas and a kitchen.

 

The new hall replaced the former Clarke Street building which was destroyed by a fire in 1972.
