The Kevin Wheelahan Gardens contains the Vietnam War Memorial that was unveil in 2017. It pays tribute to not only the 521 Australians who lost their lives in the war but it also is an expression of gratitude to the Vietnamese people who were involved in the war and many now call Brimbank home.

The gardens contains an Avenue of Honour for the veterans from the Sunshine & District that served in WW1.

The park provides a quiet space for people to reflect and honor family members and other soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice during the many wars over the past 125 years.

The park is also a common location where the City of Brimbank hold it's citizenship ceremonies. The 2014 ceremony was the second largest one in Australia.
