Distance from Spencer Street Station (Southern Cross Station): – 14.08km (8 ¾ miles).

 

Key Dates:

1919 – New Albion Railway Station opens at the former Albion – Darlington Railway Station site.

1928 – Ballarat Rd and Signal Box opens.

1929 – The goods lines between Albion and Broadmeadows opens.

1961 – The Albion Signal Box closes. The Ballarat Rd overpass is completed and the Ballarat Rd railway gates are removed.

 

1962 – The new island platform opens.
