Former Municipal Offices City of Sunshine, Victoria

In 1961 the Sunshine Council plans for a New Municipal Offices & Civic Centre, Library and Health Centre on vacant land known as Moon's Paddock which the Council purchased from the Victorian Railways for $20.

The first stage, the Library opened in 1965 and the Municipal Building opened in 1967.

Further extensions to the Municipal Building where added later.

​

After the Council moved into their offices in Hampshire Rd, these site was sold to developers in 2018 for $5,581,000. The site is protected by heritage overlays including the outstanding first floor glass mosaic that sits over the front entrance to the building.
